When the Plats are Grouped log either to form cells & Consequently Battery, The Electrical Parameters come into Play. To attain the required Electrical Parameters in the Battery, the Chemical Process is important. But whether the Manufacturing process has been efficient or not, is judged by testing the Battery Electrically. We perform the Electrical test according to various standers as well as the Practical conditions of the Battery which it will be subjected to.
The various test which are done to evaluate the Battery are as Following :
- Capacity Test :- This test is Primarily the one required to evaluate the Battery for the rating of the Battery. This test indicates the usage Co-efficient of the material involved under different conditions of temperature.
- High Rate Discharge Test :- This test is aimed to bring the starting, igniting properties of the Battery. To evaluate the cranking properties of the Battery this test is performed.
- Life Cycle Test :- The Battery is cycled continuously under controlled temperature conditions to bring out the probable life cycle the Battery will be available to deliver.
- Resistance to Overcharges Test :- His test is done for the evaluation of the inherited strength of the Battery plates under the extreme conditions.
Apart from this the test like Reserve capacity, Cold Cranking Amperes are done these test are necessary to find out the shortcomings of the process of the Manufacture under different conditions of the factors like temperature, pressure, cycle applications etc.
